Water Pollution

Water is one of the most important elements of our environment. No animals or plants can survive without water. It is said that the other name of water is life. Certainly this water means pure drinkable water. But water is being polluted by us everyday and now water pollution has turned into a great problem in our country as well as all over the world. Wastes and rubbish from mills and factories are being mixed with river water and thus polluting it. Human wastes and household wastes are also another cause of water pollution. Farmers are using insecticides in their fields and they are getting mixed with river or pond water resulting in pollution. Oils thrown out from ships and other water vehicles are also responsible for water pollution. In this way, our total environment is greatly being polluted. Due to water pollution, many species of animals and plants have come under the threat of extinction where some of them have already vanished from the world. So, for the mere existence of our life and environment, we have to prevent water pollution at any cost.
