English is not only international but also the most widely spoken language in the world. So, nowadays, the importance of learning English is great. Statistics show that about 350 million people in the world speak English as a first language and another 300 million use it as a second language.
It is the age of computers and more than 80% of all the information of the world’s computers is in English. Therefore, to keep pace with the modern world, to communicate with the people speaking other languages, to get a good job and, above all, to improve the standard of life, one must learn English. There is no alternative to the knowledge of English if one wants to get higher education or earn knowledge from the books of great writers in the world. Because, all the world famous writings are at least translated in English. Moreover, mobile phone communication and internet browsing are all but impossible without minimum knowledge of English. In a word, in this age of globalization, the importance of learning English is increasing day by day.
