Subject: Prayer for permission to stage a drama in the college hall-room.
Dear Sir,
We, the students of class xii of your college, most humbly beg to state that we are interested to stage a drama in our college auditorium as part of our celebration of the International Mother Language Day on February 21. The 21st February is a glorious day in the history of Bengali nation and language. But our young generation hardly bear the spirit of our heroic Language Movement. So we have planned to stage the famous drama ‘Kobor’ by Munir Chowdhury to revive spirit of our language movement. This is also an integral part of our extra-curricular activities.
Contextually, we have already performed two rehearsals on the play under the instructions of our Bengali teacher Rahat Khan and now students are quite prepared to play their roles.
In this situation, we hope that you would give us permission and all kinds of supports to make the program a success.
Obediently yours
Sazzad
