Dear Sir,
We have the honor to draw your kind attention to the fact that there is no English Speaking Club in our college and we feel the dire necessity of setting up one. English is the most widely spoken and used language around the world. In this age of globalization, English is the most recognized common language to serve the purpose of all-out international communication.
But it is a matter of regret that we have scope to practice spoken English neither in the classroom nor outside classes. This is because our present curriculum lays emphasis on writing and reading skill not on speaking or listening. As a result, a student can easily get A+ in English without having minimum commanding skill in speaking. In this connection, setting up an English Speaking Club can solve our problem to a great extent.
We, therefore, pray and hope that you would be kind enough to take effective steps to set up an English Speaking Club in our college and thus fulfill our long-standing demand.
