16. Active to Passive: Double Object যুক্ত Imperative
Active voice থেকে Passive voice এ পরিবর্তনের ১৬তম Lesson টিতে আমরা Double Object যুক্ত Imperative অর্থাৎ Direct ও Indirect Object যুক্ত Imperative নিয়ে deal করব।
আমরা এখন যে ধরনের sentence নিয়ে আলোচনে করব, তার structure হল-

পূর্বোক্ত lesson গুলোতে আমরা দেখেছি, Double Object মানে Indirect ও Direct Object।
Indirect Object হল ব্যক্তিবাচক Noun/Pronoun (যেমন- me, him, her, them, Rifat …..); পক্ষান্তরে, Direct Object হল অব্যক্তিবাচক Noun/Pronoun (যেমন- book, flower, father, school …..)।
তাহলে Double Object যুক্ত Imperative sentence এর Active structure টা আমরা এক নজরে দেখে নিই-

অর্থাৎ ধারাবাহিকভাবে-
- শুরুতেই Let বসবে।
- Direct Object টি অপরিবর্তিত অবস্থায় বসবে
- be বসবে।
- Main Verb এর Past participle (V3) form বসবে।
- to বসবে।
- Indirect Object টি অবিকল বসবে।
লক্ষনীয়, Double Object এর মধ্যে আমরা শুধু Direct Object টিকেই Let পরবর্তী Object হিসাবে আনব, Indirect Object কে নয়। Indirect Object এর পূর্বে একটি ‘to’ সহ Main verb এর পরে বসবে।
এবার সমাধানসহ নিচের Example গুলো নিবিড়ভাবে লক্ষ্য কর এবং বর্তমান lesson থেকে তোমার অর্জিত অভিজ্ঞতার আলোকে মিলিয়ে নাও-
Active: Send him a message.
Passive: Let a message be sent to him.
Active: Teach each girl computer literacy.
Passive: Let computer literacy be taught to each girl.
Active: Show me your last video.
Passive: Let your last video be shown to me.
Active: Tell us the story of your last journey.
Passive: Let the story of your last journey be told to us.
আশা করছি তোমরা Double Object যুক্ত Imperative sentence কে Passive করার পদ্ধতিটা স্পষ্টভাবে বুঝতে পেরেছ।
Double Object যুক্ত Imperative sentence কে Passive করতে-
- শুরুতেই Let বসাবে।
- শুধুমাত্র Direct Object টিকেই অপরিবর্তিত অবস্থায় বসাবে।
- be বসবে।
- Principal VerB (V3) form বসবে।
- to বসবে।
- Indirect Object টি অবিকল বসাবে।
এবার (Subject + Factitive verb + Object + Objective complement) যুক্ত sentence এর নিচের Exercise গুলো নিজে নিজে Try কর। তোমার প্রচেষ্টা শেষে পরবর্তী Quiz টাতে অংশগ্রহন কর। Quiz Retake করতে থাক যতক্ষন না score 100% হয়। Quiz Review তে তোমার এই প্রশ্নগুলোর জবাব পেয়ে যাবে।
