A winter morning has a special charm to all in respect to the flow of life in the environment of winter. Apparently the morning in winter starts late as people are usually accustomed to getting up late this time. Naturally the sky remains foggy and as the sun starts rising, the fog gradually disappears. Thus everywhere is seen lively movement of the working people. In winter, dew drops keep falling all-night long.
When these drops fall on the grassy meadows, they glitter in the rays of sun that look like pearls. The common scene of a winter morning is the cold-stricken poor people trying to warm themselves by wearing shabby wrapper or basking in the sun. Winter appears as its real form especially in the village. The old and children are seen making fire collecting some hay or firewood. They sit around the fire and make them warm for a while. When the fog is much thicker; everything around seems to be vague and ghost-like and can hardly be seen. As a result, transports starting to long journeys fall prey to navigation problems which may eventually cause accidents. In the countryside, it is a pick-hour to collect date juice from the plants. A tree climber collecting juice from the pot hanging with the date plant is a dreamy picture of winter morning. Chirping of numerous migratory birds of different sizes and colors add to the beauty of the environment. To conclude, whatever may a winter morning be, it is certainly dull and painful to the people who do not have sufficient warm clothes to save themselves from bitter cold.

সকলের কাছে শীতের সকালের আছে একটা বিশেষ চমক শীতকালের পরিবেশে জীবন প্রবাহের পরিপ্রেক্ষিতে। আপাতদৃষ্টিতে শীতকালের সকালটা শুরু হয় দেরিতে যেহেতু এসময় লোকজন সচরাচর দেরি করে ঘুম থেকে উঠতে অভ্যস্ত। প্রাকৃতিকভাবেই আকাশ থাকে কুয়াশাচ্ছন্ন এবং সূর্য উদিত হতে শুরু করার সাথে সাথে কুয়াশা ক্রমাগত অদৃশ্য হতে থাকে। এভাবে সর্বত্রই দেখা যায় কর্মচঞ্চল লোকদের প্রাণবন্ত পদচারণা। শীতকালে সারারাত ব্যাপী শিশির পড়তে থাকে। যখন এই শিশির ফোঁটাগুলো ঘাসযুক্ত তৃণভূমিতে পড়ে, তখন ওগুলো সূর্যের আলোতে চকচক করে যা মুক্তার মত দেখায়। শীতের সকালের একটি সাধারণ দৃশ্য হলো শীত-দুর্গত গরীব মানুষেরা চেষ্টা করতেছে নিজেদেরকে উত্তপ্ত রাখতে জীর্ণ চাদর গায়ে জড়িয়ে অথবা রোদ পোহানোর মাধ্যমে। শীত তার প্রকৃত রূপে আবির্ভূত হয় বিশেষ করে গ্রামাঞ্চলে। বৃদ্ধ এবং শিশুদের দেখা যায় আগুন জ্বালাতে কিছু খড় বা জ্বালানি কাঠ সংগ্রহ করে। তারা আগুনের চারপাশে ঘিরে বসে এবং কিছু সময়ের জন্য নিজেদেরকে উত্তপ্ত করে রাখে। যখন কুয়াশা অধিকতর ঘন হয়, চারপাশের সবকিছুই অস্পষ্ট এবং ভুতুড়ে মনে হয় এবং দেখা যায় না বললেই চলে।ফলে দূরবর্তী ভ্রমণে যাত্রার করা পরিবহন গুলো নাব্যতা সংকটে পড়ে যা ঘটনাক্রমে দুর্ঘটনার কারণ হতে পারে। গ্রামাঞ্চলে খেজুর গাছ থেকে খেজুর সংগ্রহের সবচেয়ে উপযুক্ত সময় এটা। গাছে আরোহণকারী খেজুর গাছের সাথে ঝোলানো পাত্র থেকে খেজুর রস সংগ্রহ করছে- এটা শীতের সকালের একটি স্বপ্নময় দৃশ্য। বিভিন্ন আকৃতি ও বর্ণের অসংখ্য অতিথি পাখির কিচিরমিচির শব্দ পরিবেশের সৌন্দর্যকে বাড়িয়ে দেয়।পরিশেষে বলা যায়, শীতের সকাল যাই হোক না কেন, এটা নিশ্চিতভাবেই নীরস এবং বেদনাময় ঐ সমস্ত লোকদের জন্য যাদের পর্যাপ্ত গরম কাপড় নেই কনকনে ঠান্ডা থেকে নিজেদেরকে রক্ষার জন্য।
